Our first studio engagment session ! and more...

A big thank you to Ismary and Mike !

We had a great time exploring the grounds of our new studio and Ismary and Mike more than accomodating.

We have access to the river walk behind our studio and we are finding all kinds of cool ways to use it.

This shot Gail nailed.

Watch it George!!

That girl is taken = )

Don't forget we do still do on location shoots as well...

We met with Kristen and John at her fathers house. Her father apparently has a hobby called "landscaping his yard".

This yard was a real jaw dropper. None of these pictures really do it justice.

We still had a great time capturing the two of them despite the lack of daylight to really work the yard.

WE ARE IN !!

We started moving into the Studio last night !!!

YAHOOOO!

First off, a very special thanks to Chris (on left)and his Dad, a good friend and co-worker, Chris was the one who kept telling us to check this place out. Chris has a unit here as well that he runs his business out of called “Millworks Hot Rod”. He restores classic cars and hot rods. Check him out in action! This made him a prime target for being one of the first to call when we needed to bring in the new couches for the studio. Seriously though, we wanted him to be part of it since he was the one that really got us in there. So, with help from Chris we started moving furniture and gear into our new space.

Racing against the incoming rain we got the couches off the trailer and into the studio just in time.

So here they are! The first official family protrait session in our new Studio.

Don't worry, it will get much better....we grabbed a few pics last night with little Canon point and shoot. We'll break out the big guns in due time.

Gail had a vision of what she wanted for furniture (yes, I liked it too) and we were lucky enough to nail both our couches and tables in one trip out with the boys. The boys of course tested everything out to make sure it would pass there vigorous inspection.

WOW! How Inspiring!

Well, George and I have been busy winding up the theatre season and getting ready for the wedding season. However, we found some time to to attend a workshop called "Bellies and Babies" put on by renowned photographer, Sandy Puc (pronounced Putch). We were fascinated by her and so inspired!
I have admired Sandy's work for years and was so thrilled to meet her! (Thanks George for taking the photo!)

Anyway, George and I can't wait to put our new resources to work! So, if you know anyone in their 7th month of pregnancy or with a newborn or soon to have a newborn, who would be interested in having photos taken, please foward them our link! We are offering an introductory rate for sessions booked by June 31st and would love to work with them. (Oh, and this would make a great baby shower gift as well!) Just give us a call!

Check back soon to see what else we're up to!

Until next time...
Gail

Water at WATA?

"Metamorphoses" at Westford Academy

A Pool and a Theatrical perfomance...

One would think that the two things would have nothing to do with each other.

Well.....guess again!

Leave it too my friends at WATA to push the limits once again.

Yes thats right a pool on stage. Needless to say that there were multiple wet vacs on hand = )

The show is called "Metamorphoses" and was directed by Dr. Luke Jorgensen. Every time I have worked with Luke at WATA, there is always a little surprise in store for me. Nice work once again Luke!

What is it about you ask? Well quoting an online source, it is "Based on Ovid's transformation myths, the play subtly mixes the ancient stories of pathos and tragedy with contemporary language, humor, and thought, all enacted in and around a large pool of water in the center of the stage. The themes of love, the inevitability of change, and the human ability to adapt to change are timeless, as is amply demonstrated by the sometimes eerie closeness of a vignette to the original lines from Ovid, which still manage to resonate with modern viewers."

I was loving the play on light and reflection that this offered and I capitalized on it in the show poster as well as a few shots during the play.

The students did a wonderful job bringing these eclectic tails to life.

Tonight is the final performance and I am looking to bag a couple more shots to add to the gallery.

Break a leg everyone!

A new look...

WOW! Aaron, our webdesigner, out did himself this time! I LOVE our new home page! Now showcasing some favorite images...maybe yours is there, or maybe it will be! We will try to be rotating images periodically, but if you haven't noticed, there are a variety of background images being used for the page...just click the refresh button and they will come up.

We've also heard your requests for shortcuts to galleries and an easier way to contact us! So, it is there--all on the new page. I am thrilled!

Shoot us an email and let us know what you think!

A show that conquered the odds in more ways than one...

"Jesus Christ Super Star" at Tyngsboro High

OK.....WOW!

Where do you go after this show.

Talk about heavy. Needless to say, we kept the kids home for this one.

The last three scenes were indescribable. After seeing the performance the first couple of times, I found myself watching the audience's reaction more than the show.

The word emotional does not come close.

Hands down one of their most powerful performances.

Just check it out...

The North Shore Music Theater also recognized Tyngsboro High for there spotlight award.

Making this feat even more amazing was the fact that this was all pulled of in the midst of a tragic loss to one cast member as his father passed away right before the start of the show run.

Amazingly enough he was there in full force and nailed his solo piece receiving a huge round of applause...and rightfully so.

If I could speak to him right now I would say to him without any question... "He heard you".

Though nowhere near as significant as this tragedy, I was faced with another sad reality of having to say goodbye to another great group of kids who happen to be, up to this point, my longest running group of students. Tyngsboro has a middle school theater program and I met these students there back in 2003. I have had the pleasure of watching them grow, and grow, and GROW for the past 5 years. I hope to still see them after this year is over when they visit the theater program for future shows. Not seeing them again would be sad. I will miss the parents equally as I have had the pleasure providing them with captured memories of their most prized possessions over the past 5 years. So.....come back and visit me Seniors! You know where you can find me = )
